Finding True Peace... By Forgiving Everyone A Discussion on How to Let Go and Move On
with Bhante Sujatha
Buddha said, to understand everything is to forgive everything. Does this make you mad? Yes, me too sometimes. It’s easy to say we forgive but not easy to do, especially when someone has wronged or hurt us. All the wisdom teachings I know of invite us to find true inner peace by letting go of the hurt others have caused. When we realize that to hold on to anger only causes us harm, it becomes more urgent to learn ways to cultivate compassion and extend forgiveness.
A common misunderstanding is the belief that once you forgive you are done. I have found, forgiveness requires daily renewal and vigilant effort. As with all things in this life, our feelings change moment by moment, so, we have to work to forgive again and again every day, every moment. Please join me in a conversational workshop on forgiveness and the steps we must take to truly forgive ourselves and others, love ourselves, and renew this commitment every day. Forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve peace – Buddha
