I started practicing yoga to help me strengthen my body and to heal overuse injuries. It also really helped teach me how to breathe and to slow down. As a mom of busy teenagers with a full time job, I felt I always had to be in two places at once, physically and mentally! After receiving my 200 RYT in 2009 with Wendy Dahl at Blue Sun Yoga, I started teaching yoga, and loved it. I completed my second 200 hr training in 2012 with Lourdes Paredes and Pam Udell at House Of Shanti and also trained with Judith Lasater to teach Restorative Yoga that same year. I find that being a student of yoga is a lifelong journey. I enjoy learning new teaching methods and exploring different types of yoga.
Along with my yoga training, I am certified in: Reiki Levels 1 and 2, Transformational Attunement Energy Healing, and Intuitive Numerology Coaching. I have also studied for two years with Sonia Choquette in her Sixth Sensory Training Workshops, levels 1-3.
My mission statement as a yoga instructor is to provide a safe, sustainable practice for my students that will utilize the full potential of their breath, stretch and strengthen their bodies, and create calm in their minds.
