Linda has enjoyed a relationship with yoga since 2005 when she turned to restorative yoga to help manage many physical injuries from years of working out. As her interest in the discipline continued to flourish, she went through her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Total Body Yoga and begin to teach in 2008.
Linda continues to study and apprentice with the renowned Gabriel Halpern at Yoga Circle in Chicago. She also interns with certified yoga therapist DL Heraty, who is the co-author of Yoga for Scoliosis. Linda underwent training with Heraty’s co-author, Senior Iyengar teacher Elise Browning-Miller, and is on schedule to become a Yoga for Scoliosis trainer in 2019. Linda is also embarking on her 500-hour certification in Madison, Wisconsin with Alignment Yoga founder Scott Anderson.
Linda’s teaching style is a combination of vinyasa flow and her alignment-based teachings with a focus on the breath, the body, and the heart. She sequences her classes in a thoughtful, knowledgeable manner, encouraging everyone to feel empowered and connected as they move. She draws on this background and her own yoga practice to give students well-organized lessons that are interactive, informative and fun.
